Summary of Position Function

This position is located at the Service Link Stop, which is located at 120 W. Eagle Street, Buffalo.  Ensures the provision of high-quality services at the Service Link Stop, including assisting with and guiding collaborative agency efforts toward participant referrals and linkages to necessary services, planning and maintains schedules of agencies on site at the SLS, leading and supporting the Organizational Panel’s agenda and initiatives, contributing within other work groups formed by the SLS Organizational Panel and works collaboratively with the Racial Equity Roundtable.  Primarily responsible for daily operations and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures of the SLS. Maintains work efforts and coordination with the Director of Intensive Adult Mental Health/ECFMH and the Erie County Director of Dual Recovery and Community Integration to meet project milestones and resolve any barriers. Works collaboratively with other departments, community agencies, and SLS contributors.   Provides oversight to assigned supervisees and SLS intern (s) tasks. Also is responsible for referral to other appropriate services and coordination with other service providers.  Performs related tasks as required.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and demonstration of agency core values in daily operations
  • Provides effective supervision utilizing agency standards, protocols, policies and procedures and evidenced based practices
  • Provides effective leadership ensuring the SLS is meeting its milestones
  • Provides supervision to assigned supervisees
  • Assists with SLS Lead Agency Orientation/Training
  • Meets documentation timeliness standards and supervisees meet same expectation
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively use technology and appropriate use of support
  • Follows Agency policies and procedures
  • Completes yearly update trainings
  • Coordinates services with other staff and other agencies.
  • Coordinates interagency education amongst partners
  • Implements established plan and provides assigned professional interventions.
  • Serves as resource person/consultant to other service providers in identifying clients for referral and works cooperatively with other providers to assure linkage of clients with appropriate services.
  • Review and maintain collected data and provide relevant information when appropriate.
  • Assures that advocacy, linking, expediting and related activities are carried out as needed.
  • Create white paper to disseminate information regarding FOCUS Project
  • Conduct presentation on SLS Project as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Preferred to possess one of the following:

  • Credentialing as an Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse   Counselor.
  • Licensure as a Psychologist.
  • Licensure as a Social Worker.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor.
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
  • Masters in Public Health

Based on program need and applicant pool, eligibility to obtain the credentials or certification within one (1) year will be acceptable.
