Project Director – Crisis Centers

Summary of Position Function

Responsible for day-to-day management of project implementation and operation, development of policies, procedures and operating practices, coordination with Partners and Evaluation Team of the CCBHC Expansion: Crisis Centers Serving Adolescents and Adults in Underserved, Rural Wester New York Communities Project.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree (in the following preferred areas): social work, mental health counseling, psychology, rehabilitation counseling or psychiatric nursing.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATE: (preferred)

LCSW, LMHC, RN

Experience

5+ years with one or more of the following populations: at-risk children, adolescents, adults and families in a range of clinical and community settings that includes crisis intervention, safety planning and service coordination; 2+ years directing complex projects; Expertise in cultures/languages of target communities & community resources.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and demonstration of agency core values in day-to-day activities
  • Provides effective supervision utilizing agency standards, protocols, policy, and procedures and evidenced based practices
  • Provides effective leadership ensuring the SAMHSA CCBHC Expansion Crisis Center Program meets its set milestones
  • Provides supervision to the SAMHSA CCBHC Expansion Crisis Centers’ staff
  • Meets documentation timeliness standards and supervisees meet same expectation
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively use technology and appropriate use of support
  • Follows Agency policies and procedures
  • Completes yearly update trainings
  • Coordinates services with other staff and other agencies.
  • Implements established plan and provides assigned professional interventions.
  • Serves as resource person/consultant to other service providers in identifying clients for referral and works cooperatively with other providers to assure linkage of clients with appropriate services.
  • Prepares reports, maintains clinical files, participates in training, and provides statistical materials.
  • Assures that advocacy, linking, expediting and related activities are carried out as needed.
  • Oversight of quality of services and documentation for supervisees.
  • Conduct presentations on SAMHSA CCBHC Expansion Project as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
