Summary of Position Function

The Staff Development Associate is a key member of the Staff Development team.  This position reports to the Director of Staff Development, assisting that individual with all program initiatives/projects. The Staff Development Associate develops and provides training of the highest quality and available evidence base, in both small and large groups. This position is encouraged to facilitate staff development opportunities via effective use of the best available technologies (including Relias). The Staff Development Associate will be the primary trainer for all Electronic Health Records trainings and support.

Education Requirements

Min. Bachelors degree in behavioral health related field


  • 3 years providing direct behavioral healthcare experience.
  • Training development and delivery experience.
  • Team meeting facilitation and active participation (preferred)

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Electronic Health Records (EHR) Development programming and training.
  • Provide 1:1 support, group supervision and training to specific departments and staff for EHR proficiency and usage with clients.
  • Develop and facilitate New Hire Spectrum Staff with EHR User training.
  • Develop and facilitate EHR specific trainings for Spectrum Staff.
  • Complete training and supervision related documentation.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality New Hire trainings to Spectrum staff (ie Ethics, Spectrum Overview Trainings).
  • Mentor and support Spectrum Staff in various topics to assist with job efficiency.
  • Assist the Staff Development Team with training/supervision planning, delivery, and feedback data analysis.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Staff Development to help ensure the achievement of program goals.
  • Coordinate with Spectrum Vice Presidents/Managing Directors/Directors related to the development, accomplishments and identified learning needs of those receiving supervision services, as needed.
  • Assist with Relias LMS administration and related activities, as needed.


  • Capacity to effectively utilize multiple technologies, including but not limited to, Relias, Survey Monkey, Power Point, and Excel
  • Proficient Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record use
  • Ability to efficiently conduct web-based training research
  • Understanding the principles of adult education and training design
  • General understanding of a wide array of behavioral health care conditions, and related interventions/evidence-based practices
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide effective and engaging clinical supervision
  • Engaging training skill
